SESAC Latina Artists Finalists At The 26th Annual Billboard Latin Music Awards

For the 26th year, Billboard magazine will pay tribute to the highest-charting artists, labels, songwriters and publishers on its Latin-music rankings. This edition of the Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place at 8 p.m. ET, April 25, and telecast live on Telemundo from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Telemundo recently announced the list of finalists, and SESAC Latina artists are front and center.

Last year’s two-time winner, urban-music pioneer Nicky Jam, is a 13-time finalist this year, with the success of three of his singles – urban hits “X” featuring J Balvin, and “Te Boté,” where he appears with Casper Mágico, Nio García, Darell, Ozuna and Bad Bunny; along with the vallenato smash “Cásate Conmigo,” where he joins Silvestre Dangond.

Mexican pop trio Reik is a four-time finalist on the strength of its chart-topper “Me Niego,” featuring Ozuna and Wisin.

Edén Muñoz, leader of the powerhouse Regional Mexican quartet Calibre 50, is a three-time finalist. The group has received two nominations, and his composition “Tu Postura,” performed by Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, is a finalist for Regional Mexican Song of the Year.

Christian Nodal, who was named New Artist of the Year in 2018, keeps his momentum going as a finalist in the Regional Mexican Artist of the Year – Solo category that he won last year.

The winners of the Billboard Latin Music Awards are determined by Billboard chart performance over the past year, which takes airplay, sales and streaming into account. SESAC Latina congratulates its finalists and will be cheering them to victory on April 25.
