SESAC affiliate Ro Ransom was honored with the Abe Olman Scholarship for Excellence in Songwriting from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Recipients of the scholarship are selected by ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. This scholarship, given out annually since 1990, was created to encourage and support the careers of young songwriters. It’s made possible by the family of Abe Olman, who was a major figure in the music publishing community, as well as a songwriter and one of the founders of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Recipients of the scholarship were invited to enjoy the annual induction ceremony in New York City on Thursday, June 13th.
