Los Angeles, Calif. (Sept. 21, 2018) – SESAC Latina artists received multiple nominations for the upcoming 19th annual Latin GRAMMYs®, which will be telecast live on Thursday, Nov. 15, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Univisión.
Puerto Rican urban artist and 2015 Latin GRAMMY® winner Nicky Jam garnered three nominations, while the young “mariacheño” rising star Christian Nodal also received three nominations. Regional Mexican foursome Calibre 50 garnered two nominations, as did the Spanish rock legend Enrique Bunbury. Juan Diego Medina also received two nominations.
Nominees for this prestigious award are selected by the artists’ fellow musicians, composers, producers and engineers, who belong to the Latin Recording Academy. Yesterday, the Latin GRAMMYs® announced the nominees via short videos that featured previous winners delivering the good news.
SESAC Latina affiliates are represented in the ceremony’s marquee categories, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist. For a full list of nominees, visit latingrammy.com.
