Entertainment Lawyer Jay Cooper Receives SESAC Visionary Award
New York, NY – June 1, 2017 SESAC, the nation’s only Music Rights Organization, hosted its annual Film & Television Composers’ Awards at the Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, Calif., last night, May 31. The invitation-only event was attended by some of the industry’s top leaders, composers and publishers.
The annual awards dinner honored music composers in the categories of film, network television, local television, cable television, advertising and streaming media.
Standing out among film composers was Christophe Beck for his music composition of Trolls. In other categories, more than 60 television composers, including Danny Lux and Jon Ehrlich, took home awards, recognizing the compositions to some of the industry’s most highly-rated shows to include Grey’s Anatomy, The Late, Late Show with James Corden, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, Golf on CBS, How I Met Your Mother, and 2 Broke Girls to name only a few.
In addition to celebrating SESAC’s film and television affiliates, the organization honored entertainment lawyer Jay Cooper with the SESAC Visionary Award.
