SESAC Latina Artists Stand Out Among Nominees for the 21st Annual Latin GRAMMYs®

Los Angeles, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2020) – SESAC Latina artists once again shine bright over the Latin music panorama with 10 total nominations at the 21st annual Latin GRAMMYs®.

The renowned producer and 15-time Latin GRAMMY® winner Rafael Arcaute is nominated for Producer of the Year for 10 songs—by various artists—that he helped produce, and for Best Alternative Song as co-writer of “Buenos Aires,” performed by Nathy Peluso.

Christian Nodal, the young singer-songwriter, is nominated for the same two categories that he won last year—Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album for Ayayay! as well as Best Regional Song for “Ayayay!”

Nominated alongside Nodal for Best Regional Song is the legendary composer Luciano Luna for “Dejaré,” which he co-wrote with its singer Lupita Infante.

The powerhouse foursome Calibre 50, who won Best Norteño Album in 2018 and received another nomination last year, is once again nominated on the strength of its latest studio album Simplemente Gracias.

SESAC Latina also has two artists who are up for Best Banda Album – La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho for Labios Mentirosos; and La Séptima Banda for Salud Por Nuestro 25 Aniversario.

Turning to pop, the Guatemalan singer-songwriter and 2013 Best New Artist winner Gaby Moreno is competing in Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Spangled.

The Puerto Rican producer and three-time Latin GRAMMY® winner Paul “Echo” Irizarry is nominated as a co-writer of Best Urban Song nominee “Muchacha,” which is performed by Gente de Zona and Becky G.

The 2020 Latin GRAMMYs® will broadcast live on Univisión on Thursday, November 19.

SESAC Latina congratulates all of its nominated artists for Latin music’s biggest night.
