(Los Angeles, Calif. – May 28, 2026) – SESAC Latina celebrated the global successes of its songwriters and publishers at its annual SESAC LATINA MUSIC AWARDS at The Fairmont Century Plaza on Wednesday, May 27. SESAC Latina awarded the year’s biggest hit songs to its affiliated songwriters and publishers.
Presenting awards throughout the evening were Celeste Zendejas (SVP, SESAC Latina), Sam Kling (Chief Creative Officer, SESAC Performing Rights) and Ana Rocha (Director, Creative Services). SESAC executives also gave a special thanks to City National Bank, A&I Music Entertainment, and Rossi Baldivia Klein Fine & Spector for sponsoring the event.

For the first time, Kapo was named Pop/Latin Rhythm Songwriter of the Year for hits such as “Más Que Tú,” “Imagínate,” “Luna,” and more. Pop/Latin Rhythm Song of the Year was awarded to “En Privado,” written by Manuel Turizo and Kemzo, published by MTZ Publishing, La Industria Music Publishing, and Sony Sounds, and recorded by Xavi and Manuel Turizo. Edén Muñoz received the Regional Mexican Songwriter of the Year honor for the fifth time for his works including “Lejos Estamos Mejor” (Regional Mexican Song of the Year)recorded by Muñoz and published by EMC Lyrics and Sony Sounds.
Sony Music Publishing was named Publisher of the Year across both award genres after dominating the show with an unbeatable 13 award-winning songs.
Guests were treated to an energetic performance from Pop/Latin Rhythm Songwriter of the Year Kapo, who has established himself as a rising star in the afrobeats genre.
