2023 GRAMMY® Nominee Spotlight: Dixson

Darius Scott, also known as DIXSON, is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, best known for a Season 9 appearance on The Voice, and “Be Alive” from the film King Richard.

DIXSON has produced and written for artists such as Chance the Rapper, Justin Bieber, Chika, YEBBA, BOSCO, Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrel, Peter CottonTale and Cannes Lion award winning campaign, ONWARD. Along with producing almost half of Chance The Rapper’s The Big Day project, DIXSON worked with Justin Bieber on the acoustic version of the hit track “Holy.”

The 11 instrument playing talent has been recognized for his extraordinary work as a producer and vocal arranger behind the scenes. In 2022, DIXSON was nominated for an Oscar for co-writing “Be Alive” from King Richard recorded by Beyoncé. He spoke to SESAC on what it was like working with Beyoncé on the track.

His new collection of songs, 004DAISY, was released everywhere on September 16, 2022. It’s his second offering released via Roc Nation.
