Songwriters Hall of Fame Announces New Lineup Of Fall Workshops, Showcases and Seminars!

The Songwriters Hall of Fame is very excited to present our schedule of professional activities that include brand new workshops, showcases and unique seminars for fall in New York City.

SONGHALL NETWORKING GROUP MEETING
Monday, October 6th 6 - 8:30 PM Open to all! A free event!
Make new connections and grow your network to expand your music’s reach! Bring your iPods w/headphones with your songs and /or tracks to share. Demo producers; bring CD demos and business cards to hand out. Workshop Alumni; use this as an excuse to get together and share your music and your progress!  Workshop Instructors Marcy Drexler, David Greenberg and Peter Bliss will be on hand to answer questions and will also talk about the upcoming SongHall fall workshops, showcases, and events.
Location: SHETLER STUDIO, 244 West 54th St., 12th Fl., Penthouse #1 (Bdwy & 8th Ave.)
We will be giving away a one year “associate” membership or extending your existing one!

SONGHALL WRITERS WORKSHOP
8 Sessions / 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM / Wednesdays
Classes meet on October 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19 & December 3,10,17
LOCATION: Penthouse at SHETLER STUDIOS, 244 West 54th St., 12th Floor (Bdwy & 8th Ave)
Workshop Goal: To strengthen the songwriting skill set and bring the emerging writer closer to the music industry through workshop sessions with hit songwriters and industry professionals in publishing, music licensing and A&R.
Each participant will have been selected for this workshop on the basis of two songs submitted. These songs will be played and evaluated by the workshop in preparation for our guests who will listen and review.  Along the way, participants will gain the insights of the songwriters and industry professionals. There will be a Q&A period with each guest.
Participants will be expected to begin working on a new song that will be shared with the workshop in its development, to be completed and performed during our 8th session. These songs may be co-written, and workshop participants collaborating together is encouraged.
