"One of the best career decisions I've made. It gave me a road map and a set of tools to use to help me navigate my songwriting. You learn how to put yourself on the listeners side of your own tunes and what you can do to strengthen and finalize your songs. -Ben Lindvall

"Being apart of the Song Arts Academy has made me realize that rewriting my songs can always make them better, it had never accrued to me to even try to rewrite a so g once I had finished with it! " Thank You! - Brianna Colette

"Billy's workshop are the best! I went from not completing song ideas to completing entire songs that actually make sense to me and my listeners" - Jazzy Ralph

"I’ve known Billy Seidman for #$@%$$ years. I have been privileged to join Billy and his students for many years at the BMI Songwriters Workshop he chairs. His expertise on the do’s and don’ts, in’s and out’s, and up’s and down’s of the songwriters craft is  formidable. And his students always leave the program as better and smarter writers." - Frank Filipetti; Grammy winning Producer of the Year; JAMES TAYLOR

About Song Arts Academy:
SAA was founded by respected NY and Nashville based songwriter Billy Seidman.
"The beauty of great songs is they capture and take hold of us so completely we never see the mechanics of what make them work. We're not supposed to.  As students of songwriting, we have to circle back, "Pop the hood" on the song, see clearly the mechanics that drive them and with practice, apply them to our own songs. The truth is, people are "Searching for themselves in your songs,"  you just need to know how to hold the mirror at eye level. I can help you do that.

SESAC recently sponsored its writers in a P.R.O. summer songwriting Workshop intensive conducted by Song Arts Academy.

Song Arts is a New York Academy dedicated to songwriters who desire to advance and excel to become the best writers they can by training as "Songwriting Athletes."
