SPONY Launches Live-Streaming EDU Pitch Events Online

Sponyonline’s premiere event will be on Monday, February 8th, 7:00pm-9:00pm EST!

“What’s ‘Write’ for Film & TV”

SPONY (Songwriter’s Pitch-a-Thon of New York) is launching the first of a series of live-streamed “Edu-Pitch” events.  Part seminar, part song pitch, the stellar industry panel will be comprised of a music integration executive from VH1, an independent music supervisor working on a variety of network television and feature film projects, and the CEO of a searchable song database whose clients include feature film studios, network executives and a variety of record label A&R reps.

We will hear about what they look for, what has the best chance of a placement, how they obtain it, and how they pay for it.  Then, 50 songs will be chosen at random to be heard on-air -- all other songs will be burned on a compilation CD for the panelists to take with them.  While songs will not be individually critiqued, general comment will be made as to their suitability in today’s market so you can see how your songs fit into the scheme of things.

In addition, you may submit questions to the panel, and communicate with each other via an ongoing Chat Room.
