Cary Barlowe Celebrates Fourth #1
SESAC, ASCAP, BMI and a host of music industry friends and family packed Nashville's South on Tuesday, December 6th to celebrate Billy Currington's 11th #1 single, "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To." The two-week chart-topper became the fourth #1 hit for SESAC's Cary Barlowe and marked the first #1 in the Country format BMI's Shy Carter.
Produced by Dann Huff, “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To” is one of only six songs by a country artist to have a multi-week #1 in 2016. Also on hand to honor the group at the "last #1 Party of the year" were publishers BMG's Chris Oglesby, Major Bob Music's Tina Crawford and Mercury Nashville VP of Promotion Damon Moberly.
