SESAC Affiliates Garner Nominations for 2016 CMA Awards

Congratulations to SESAC artists and songwriters for their nominations in the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards. Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band received nods in the category of Group of the Year in the awards. “Think Of You,” written by SESAC’s Josh Hoge and recorded by Chris Young and Cassadee Pope, also received a nod for Music Event of the Year and “Somewhere On A Beach,” written by affiliates Jaron Boyer and Michael Tyler and recorded by Dierks Bentley, received a nomination for Video of the Year. In addition, several SESAC writers contributed songs to projects nominated for Album of the Year including Jaron Boyer and Michael Tyler for “Somewhere On A Beach” for Dierk Bentley’s Black album and J Hart for “Wasted Time” and Jesse Lee for “That Could Still Be Us” from Keith Urban’s Ripcord project. 

The 50th Annual CMA Awards will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and will take place on Wednesday, November 2 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and will be broadcast live on ABC.  For a complete list of nominations go to www.cmaworld.com.
