SESAC Latina Songwriters Grasped #1 Spot on Four Billboard Charts
Rico Love's “Odio” #1 for 8 Consecutive Weeks!
The SESAC Latina-affiliated artist Leo James is the composer of “Una Vez Más” (One More Time), performed by the salsa legend Víctor Manuelle with the pop group Reik. This song has made it to No.1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart.
A native of Puerto Rico, Leo James is celebrating his latest success, on the heels of his hit song “Dándole” (Going At It), performed by Gocho.
This chart-topping accomplishment is published in Billboard magazine’s March 29-April 4, 2014, issue. It’s another triumph for SESAC Latina, the fastest-growing performing rights society in the world.
Meanwhile, the creative roster of our society has captured the No.1 spot on three other Billboard charts: Regional Mexican Airplay, with the Luciano Luna-penned “Te Hubieras Ido Antes” (You Should Have Left Earlier), performed by Julión Álvarez y su Norteño Banda; and Hot Latin Songs and Latin Streaming Songs with the Rico Love-written “Odio” (Hate), performed by Romeo Santos and Drake.
“Odio” is now in its 8th consecutive week at No.1 on these two charts.
