SESAC Promotes Katie Alphonso to Manager, Royalty Distribution
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - SESAC, the nation's most progressive performing rights organization, has announced the promotion of Katie Alphonso to Manager, Royalty Distribution. Alphonso will supervise Royalty Distribution functions and related staff, including the processing, calculation and analysis of royalty distribution for broadcast and live music and the compilation and distribution of royalty statements to all SESAC affiliates.
“As SESAC moves forward as the only performing rights organization to provide monthly statements to its writer/publisher affiliates, Katie’s strength as a leader coupled with her expertise in technology and analytics will prove invaluable,” said Scott Jungmichel, SESAC’s Vice President, Royalty Distribution & Research Services. “Katie has been a key part of SESAC’s Royalty Distribution and Research Services team for some time; this promotion is well-deserved.”
Alphonso received a degree in Business Systems Administration from Taylor University in Upland, Ind. While in college, she began working with then-emerging country music artists Dierks Bentley and Michelle Poe in the Midwest region. She joined the SESAC staff in 2004 and has held numerous positions, including Data and Reporting Analyst, Copyright Administrator, Per Program Project Leader and, most recently, Domestic Royalty Administrator. Alphonso is a member of SOLID (Society of Leaders In Development), where she served as president in 2010. She also was a member of the YP Nashville (Young Professionals) Board.
