Jim Lauderdale Captured in The King Of Broken Hearts

SESAC songwriter/artist Jim Lauderdale is the subject of a in-depth profile in The King Of Broken Hearts.  Directed by Jeremy Dylan, the documentary follows the unconventional and thrilling career of the GRAMMY-Award winning musician, singer and songwriter from his North Carolina roots to his stints in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville.  Lauderdale has chalked up hits for the likes of George Strait, Dixie Chicks, Gary Allan and Patty Loveless and received awards from the NARAS (GRAMMYS) and the Americana Music Association.  In 2010, Lauderdale was honored at the SESAC Nashville Music Awards with the “Inspiration Award” for his ongoing musical excellence and peerless artistry.

The King Of Broken Hearts will be presented at a special screening by the GRAMMY Museum on December with all proceeds going to the GRAMMY Museum. Lauderdale will be on hand to participate in a Q&A session moderated by Vice President of The GRAMMY Foundation and MusicCares, Scott Goldman.
