SESAC's Carlos Baute will perform during the 25th Hispanic Heritage Awards Ceremony in Washington
The Hispanic Heritage Foundation announced that Venezuelan singer/songwriter Carlos Baute will perform during the 25th Hispanic Heritage Awards, the annual celebration of Hispanic excellence and premier event of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States. The ceremony will take place September 15th at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Carlos Baute has been chosen for this prestigious event due to his international success. He achieved more than 100 million visits on YouTube, more than 2 million digital sales. “AmarteBien”, his last studio album, has reached Gold in México, Argentina and Venezuela. Baute won the “Antorcha de Plata” (Silver Torch) at the Viña del Mar festival in March 2011. “De mi Puño y Letra”, his previous album, obtained Platinum Status in Mexico, Venezuela, and Spain; Gold in Argentina and Colombia and Digital Multi-platinum disc in Argentina and Spain. “Colgando en tus manos” (“Hanging on your hands”) the very first international hit single from “De Mi Puño y Letra” was #1 on iTunes for more than 45 consecutive weeks
The Hispanic Heritage Awards were established in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan and the White House as the official celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which spans from September 15th to October 15th. Over the last 25 years, the HHAs have grown into one of the most prestigious awards in the United States, honoring Hispanic excellence, leadership, and accomplishments in the fields of Arts, Education, Leadership, Vision, Business, Sports and Legend. These individuals have inspired, empowered and improved the lives of Hispanics in the United States and the world.
