SESAC Latina artists are finalists in 10 Billboard Latin Music Awards categories

SESAC Latina composer Miguel Ángel Romero has received double recognition as a finalist in the 2011

Billboard Latin Music Awards with nominations for Hot Latin Song of the Year and Regional Mexican Song of the Year.

The Miguel Ángel Romero composition “Dime Que Me Quieres,” performed by the legendary Banda El  Recodo, competes in the Hot Latin Song of the Year category. The song enjoyed a 40+ week run on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart (17 weeks at No. 1), and competes against top performers from other Latin genres such as pop and urban. As a composer and vocalist for the pop group Camila, SESAC Latina composer Samuel “Samo” Parra garnered five nominations, including Latin Artist and Latin Group of the Year. Samo, who is represented by SESAC Latina worldwide, also wrote the latest cut by Camila, “De Qué Me Sirve La Vida,” one of the group’s most-requested songs in their live shows.

The 2011 Billboard Latin Music awards will be presented April 28 in Miami and broadcast live nationwide by Telemundo.
