SESAC Joins Nashville Leaders In Rebranding Music City
A special group of music industry executives, including SESAC’s President/COO Pat Collins, were asked by Mayor Karl Dean to be part of a think-tank designed to help establish Nashville as a destination city for all aspects of the entertainment business including the already thriving tourism trade. The distinguished group, known as the Nashville Music Council, consists of leaders in many music-based businesses including performing rights, touring and artist management among many others. Split into four subcommittees - branding, creative talent, live music and music education - the Council meets regularly to brainstorm on ways to rebrand Nashville as a world-class, multi-faceted city in the hopes of broadening Music City’s appeal to attract new businesses.
