Noel Schajris’s “Guapa” hits #1 in the United States and Puerto Rico

May 20, 2010, Los Angeles, CA – Performed by its co-writer Diego Torres, Noel Schajris’s (SACM/SESAC Latina) song “Guapa” has simultaneously positioned itself at #1 on two Billboard charts.

“Guapa” has reached the top spot on the Hot Latin Songs chart, where promotional singles from all Latin genres, including pop, rock, ballads, reggaeton, hip-hop, bachata, and regional Mexican, among others, are represented.

According to Nielsen BDS (Broadcast Data Systems), the electronic system that monitors radio airplay and audience in the United States and Puerto Rico, “Guapa” has also situated itself at the top of the Latin Pop Airplay chart, in a solid demonstration of the positive energy of a song that gives justice to the Hispanic woman, flattering her for both her physical beauty and spiritual strength.

The single is included in Diego Torres’s album titled “Distinto,” which finds itself in the Top 5 of the highest-selling pop albums of the moment.

A songwriter, musician, and singer of major hits, Noel Schajris (SACM), represented as a songwriter by SESAC Latina in the United States, is an outstanding artist of Argentine origin who lives in Mexico and garnered international fame as a member of the group Sin Bandera.

The double #1 of “Guapa” also makes it a “Greatest Gainer” on both the Billboard Hot Latin Songs and Latin Pop Airplay charts. The official charts will be published in the Billboard Magazine edition for the week of May 29th to June 4th, 2010.
