Nashville Jazz Workshop to Offer Introduction to Music Business Class
“Music Business - Know Your Rights:  Copyrights, Licensing, Royalties and More”

Attention musicians, songwriters/composers, producers, artist managers, student artists!  Learn about copyright protection for you musical works; Licenses - mechanical, synchronization, digital rights licenses; ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and SoundExchange, and how they serve you; music publishers and record companies of the future; and getting paid for the use of your music.  Organize your song catalogues, your recordings, your agreements, and KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.  Class will include lecture, informational materials, and group exercises to learn how to manage your musical works and your rights.  Instructor:  Suzan Toney of The Rights.Space, LLC, 20-year veteran of music and entertainment industry in New York City and Nashville.  Class Schedule:  Tuesday Nights from April 20th through May 25th, 6-8PM.
