SESAC celebrates Monty Powell's #1 Sweet Thing

Nashville, TN– SESAC, the nation’s fastest growing performing rights organization, threw a festive party at their Nashville headquarters in honor of songwriter Monty Powell and his recent #1 hit for Keith Urban “Sweet Thing”.

Powell was joined by Urban, his co-writer on “Sweet Thing,” along with a large gathering of friends and industry well-wishers in celebrating the success of smash single which spent two consecutive weeks on top of Billboard’s country singles chart.

"SESAC is honored to be associated with a talent of the magnitude of Monty Powell,” remarked Tim Fink, Associate Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, SESAC. "’Sweet Thing’ is a great collaboration between two gifted songwriters that resulted in one of the year’s most memorable songs.  We look forward to many more incredible songs from these guys!”

Powell and Urban were presented congratulatory acknowledgements from SESAC's Tim Fink as well as from the CMA at the #1 soiree.
