SESAC hosts "Cocktails & Copyrights"

SESAC recently hosted an informal forum featuring the National Music Publishers' Association's David Israelite at the "Cocktails & Copyrights" gathering at Nashville's Sambuca restaurant. The social gathering drew a large group of Music Row publishers to hear Israelite, the President/CEO of the National Music Publisher's Association (NMPA), discuss a range of topics on the music industry's ongoing battle to ensure that songwriters and publishers continue to be protected and thrive in music industry's digital age.  Israelite's update included such pressing topic as the positive outcome for songwriters and publishers at the recent Copyright Royalty Board hearings in Washington and the Performance In Audio/Visual Download issue.
The NMPA is the largest U.S. music publishing trade association with over 700 members. Its mission is to protect, promote, and advance the interests of music’s creators.
