SESAC Hosts 4th Annual Songwriters Bootcamp
SESAC drew over 250 attendees to the fourth annual Songwriters Bootcamp on July 27, at LA’s Skirball Cultural Center. The event symposium is devoted to offering information on all aspects of the music industry to artists, songwriters and publishers, offering panel lectures and discussions courtesy of an array of established writers, producers, lawyers and industry insiders. The event featured such panels as GET IN THE PICTURE examining the intricacies of placing music in motion pictures and television; INTERNET KILLED THE RADIO STAR which put a spotlight on the challenges of the radio landscape and CASH FOR YOUR SONGS which explored the process of generating money for songs.
GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter/producer Bryan-Michael Cox delivered a rousing Keynote Speech and Latin mega-producer Echo gave special insight into the rapidly growing Latin music market. The SESAC Songwriters Bootcamp was sponsored by M Magazine and event sponsors included Icelandic Glacial Water, Blue Microphones, Sprint and Billboard Pro.
