Malcolm Hawker is the CEO and President of CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International Inc.) a global rights licensing and resource company serving over 250,000 churches, schools and other organizations in more than 50 countries and represents the intellectual property rights of over 5,000 church music publishers and song owners. He has extensive experience in copyright licensing and international business with a focus on technology and customer service.
Malcolm served as CCLI’s Asia-Pacific Managing Director in Sydney, Australia beginning in 2006, being promoted to CCLI’s Chief Operating Officer in Washington, USA through 2014. As CEO/President he is primary focused on empowering worship in the Christian community by providing affordable and legal content, media and resources.
Prior to joining CCLI Malcolm was instrumental in helping many churches and organizations use the power of the internet to help build community beyond the weekend gatherings. His knowledge of church life came through his training and later ordination into the Christian ministry serving as a Senior Minister in Australia.
He is a regular speaker at copyright and church worship events. He lives near Vancouver, Washington and loves snowboarding, contemporary Christian music and is currently learning the didgeridoo.
