Ellen Bligh Truley is Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations for SESAC Holdings, Inc., the nation’s only Music Rights Organization, overseeing global marketing initiatives for all corporate entities to include the Harry Fox Agency, Rumblefish, SESAC PRO, and the newly launched Mint Digital Services. Based in Nashville, Truley works closely with the senior management team in New York, Los Angeles and abroad.
In this role, Truley has oversight of all communications, messaging, and marketing strategy and execution on behalf of the SESAC Holdings brand and its subsidiaries.
During her 20 years with SESAC, Truley has made a notable impact by elevating the brand while collaborating with industry partners and advertisers to ensure appropriate visibility. On the sponsorship front, she has spearheaded the development, strategy and execution of SESAC’s partnerships including City National Bank, Delta Air Lines, Luxury Resorts & Hotels, Netflix, Maker’s Mark, Icelandic Glacial Water, Red Bull, ReverbNation and more.
In addition to managing the company’s marketing, publicity, and digital strategy, Truley leads the company’s public affairs efforts and provides support for SESAC’s longtime sponsorship of GRAMMYs on the Hill.
Truley also supervises SESAC’s participation at countless songwriter showcases and festivals to continually raise awareness of the company brand. In addition, she serves as the executive producer for all SESAC productions, including the Pop Music Awards, Nashville Music Awards, Film/TV Music Awards, Christian Music Awards, and Latina Music Awards.
During her career, Truley has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s most prolific songwriters and composers to include Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, R.E.M., Mariah Carey, RUSH, Lady Antebellum, Green Day, Charli XCX, American Authors, Zac Brown, Jonathan Wolff, Randy Newman and more.
Truley’s many industry achievements include being named as one of Billboard Magazine’s Women in Music for three consecutive years (2011-2013), and most recently commemorated at Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Truley serves on the boards of the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Library of Congress’ National Recording Preservation Board, and serves on the communications committee for the Copyright Alliance. She is also a member of NARAS, CMA and ACM. Truley is married to actor Todd Truley (Nashville, Grudge Match, Prisoners), and the couple resides in Nashville.
