Ray Wylie Hubbard

Ray Wylie Hubbard is truly one of the elder statesmen of both Texas music and the rising Americana genre. Effortlessly mixing folk, blues, country and rock with his own slightly twisted perspective, Hubbard has released album after album of some of the finest singer/songwriter music you’re likely to hear anywhere. Simply put, as he approaches his 60th birthday, Hubbard is doing it better than ever.

His latest release, Delirium Tremolos, produced by fellow SESAC affiliate Gurf Morlix, celebrates Hubbard’s early influences even as it plows new ground. He’s always been quick to credit his own influences, like seminal folkie Terry Gilkyson, but these days Hubbard serves as an inspiration to countless aspiring singer/songwriters who aspire to his level of songwriting excellence. After four decades as a singer/songwriter and performer, it seems Ray Wylie Hubbard is just getting started.  www.raywylie.com
