Mates Of State

Mates Of State, the husband and wife duo made up of drummer/vocalist Jason Hammel and keyboardist/vocalist Kori Gardner, are in the midst of turning their 10-year-old band into much more than a cult band. First garnering attention for their odd instrumentation (no guitars!), the Mates have steadily been building a larger audience through a number of singles, EPs and CDs. Featured in a popular AT & T wireless phone commercial performing their song, “For the Actor,” the duo are now touring the country promoting their most recent release, Bring It Back.
