SESAC Honors Music Greats at 2007 Jazz Awards Luncheon

New York: SESAC honored its affiliated composers in the jazz genre today with the third Jazz Awards Luncheon. The year’s event, held at New York’s legendary Tavern on the Green, honored jazz writers whose works achieved Top 5 status on the jazz charts from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006.
The audience, which included SESAC-affiliated composers and publishers as well as industry executives and press, also enjoyed a stunning performance by GRAMMY-winning jazz great Cassandra Wilson accompanied by the incomparable Jason Moran on piano, both honorees this year.
